Sebagai penerus Galaxy Tab 7 inch, Samsung menghadirkan Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 ke Tanah Air. Sesuai namanya, tablet ini memiliki layar 10,1 inch. Salah satu kelebihan yang diklaim lebih mentereng ketimbang para pesaing adalah bodinya diklaim tertipis di dunia.
Memang dengan ketebalan cuma 8,6 mm, cukup sahih kalau Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 diklaim sebagai yang paling tipis. Pesaing dekatnya Apple iPad 2 sedikit lebih tebal dengan ukuran 8,8 mm.
Berbagai fitur andalan coba dibenamkan Samsung pada tablet anyarnya itu. Misalnya prosesor dual core, kamera depan belakang dengan resolusi masing-masing 3 megapixel dan 2 megapixel. Sedangkan koneksi jaringan sudah mendukung sampai ke HSPA+.
Kemudian, sistem operasi yang diusung sudah Android Honeycomb, OS yang khusus dibuat Google untuk tablet. Samsung juga menambahkan kustomisasi interface TouchWiz yang selama ini jadi andalan vendor asal Korea Selatan itu di segmen smartphone.
