As we already know, a virus scan would not be maximized if the antivirus is not regularly updated. First, download the update file To manually update avira, just like in windows update. First, download the update files vdf_fusebundle.zip (size approximately 43 MB). Then, Copy this update file on a USB Flash drive (flash).
But the problem, Avira which is on a bootable CD is still using the old registration (hbdev.key), then Avira can not be updated with this latest update.
However, this can be overcome by, grab a registration code (file hbdev.key) from Avira are already installed in Windows (usually in the folder C: \ Program Files \ Avira \ Antivir Desktop).
Then, copy files in a folder Antivir hbedv.key who is on a bootable CD. After that, the update manually with the files already in the prepared vdf_fusebundle.zip in the flash. The way the update via the menu Update> Manually Update.
